I love the idea of our hearts being bigger than ourselves and so when we give them away it is so very meaningful. This picture makes me smile because the person might be standing at a door with flowers but instead they arrive with their whole heart.
It was inspired by a wonderful 84 year old friend of mine with dementia, whose husband passed away a couple of years ago. She has a beautiful 70's version of this card still hanging on the wall - a Valentine's card he sent her years ago.
The original drawing has a piece of Liberty Tana Lawn fabric stuck onto it to create the heart and it is mounted on the same fabric. Inside the card on the left hand side is written:
The card is A5 and is printed on beautifully textured card to give it a lovely feel and comes with (or in) a luxury white envelope.
